Restoration to Original Specification

If you are looking for a complete restoration of your Vintage Bentley to the original Cricklewood specification, we will do this for you. We research the history of your car and using original photographs and bill sheets we give you an un-rivalled level of detail.

When restoring the first ever works team car, MH7580, every known photograph of the car was enlarged, enhanced and studied. For instance, all the running board brackets, and some wing irons, were found to be unique in design to this car. Even the battery boxes, of which there were two, one on each running board, were unique. On the original photograph you could see shadowy images of the battery cables fitted to the running board, which would have enabled the cables to be used in the race at a moments notice.Holes in the chassis confirmed that this was the case.This was all lovingly re-created in the restoration. If you think the leather strap is not in the middle of the box, you are quite right – as it wasn’t in its day! This is just one example of the many differences between a standard production car and a team car.
