History Of William Medcalf Ltd.
Coming from a Bentley family, William has always had a great passion for these prestigious cars. William showed early promise by restoring his first car whilst still at school. Unlike most people, he was not satisfied with a simple cosmetic make-over so he removed every nut, bolt and washer from his 1969 Morris Minor and totally restored the car. He then had to wait a whole year before he could take his driving test.
From these promising beginnings one of the first jobs William undertook professionally was to restore a running R-Type chassis; again, a complete nut and bolt re-build. This was the start of an impressive list of restorations for clients including Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan and on notable Bentleys such as the first ever works team car entered at Le Mans.
Over the years the company has invested in tooling and machinery to enable it to expand into manufacturing a wide range of Bentley parts and modifications. These innovative designs have been enjoyed by hundreds of satisfied Bentley owners and have proven themselves invaluable on endless Bentley sorties.
Since starting in business in 1996 William has endeavoured to create an impressive workshop and dedicated team to provide a service that is un-rivalled.
